Jim Bellows R.I.P.

This obituary for a friend in the journalism industry is long overdue. Jim Bellows was a writer for several prominent newspapers and worked as a writer at Prodigy in the 1980s, back when the internet was young. He was the man who put sensationalism back into a dull breed of media by writing for secondary newspapers. This was his way of increasing competition with bigger news outlets like the New York Times and the Washington Post. He died on March 6, 2009 of Alzheimer’s disease.
